DITA adopts the following Code of Conduct to promote high ethical and moral standards of professional conduct in the defoamer industry. Each member of the Association agrees to abide by this Code of Conduct. The Association intends that this Code of Conduct be interpreted reasonably, fairly, and objectively.
The following Principles of Conduct are goals of professional conduct for all Association members. All members of the DITA pledge:
These Rules of Conduct provide specific standards of acceptable professional conduct for all members of the Association.
These Rules
of Conduct are enforceable by the Association under the procedures
provided in Article III, Section 6 of the ÒBylaws of Defoamer Industry
Trade AssociationÓ. [ref: Art III, Section 6.
Termination of Membership: The Board of Directors, by
affirmative vote of a majority of all of the members of the Board, may
suspend or expel a member for cause, and may, by majority vote of those
present at any regularly constituted meeting, terminate the membership of
any member who becomes ineligible for membership.]
Feb. 27, 2008: A motion was presented and
approved by the BOD to
adopt the DITA COC with an
agreement that a member company has the
option of substituting their company code of conduct/code of ethics in
place of DITAÕs COC, if said substitute is approved by the EC:
ÒTo adopt the COC, going into effect on April
1, 2008. However, if a
company does not submit an alternative code by April 1, 2008, member
company is obliged to comply with DITAÕs COC.ÓNovember
